Michael Wollenschläger

Michael Wollenschläger (born March 11, 1946 in Mosbach ; † December 30, 2008 in Würzburg ) was a German labor and social lawyer .

Life

After graduating from high school in Mosbach, Baden, Wollenschläger studied law and economics from 1965 at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg . In 1969 he passed his first state examination in law . In 1972 he was in Würzburg at Günther Küchenhoff to Dr. iur. utr. with the topic Immanent Barriers to Asylum Law . At the same time, a contribution to the teaching of the restriction of fundamental rights without legal reservation is doing his doctorate . After his Diplom de Droit comparé from the International Faculty of Comparative Law in Strasbourg / Amsterdam, he passed his second state examination in 1973.

Wollenschläger had been a research assistant for constitutional and administrative law as well as labor and social law at the University of Würzburg since 1970 . From 1973 he worked as a lawyer specializing in labor and social law. In 1981 he completed his habilitation at Küchenhoff on the subject of industrial and civil protection in nuclear law and worked as a private lecturer . In 1982 he was appointed professor for public law , in particular administrative law and social law . From 1993 to 1997 he was also vice dean and later dean of the law faculty of the University of Würzburg. He also taught at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt .

His son Ferdinand Wollenschläger is also a legal scholar.

Act

Wollenschläger was a founding member of the interdisciplinary research center for German and European social law and social policy at the University of Würzburg. He published more than 250 scientific papers and essays. He was involved in numerous committees and adviser to governments, committees of the Bundestag and Landtag, academies, welfare associations and political and social associations at home and abroad. He was a member of the Migration Council .

Wollenschläger has been chairman of the Würzburg Cathedral Music Association in the Würzburg diocese since 2006 . He was a member of the Catholic student associations K.D.St.V. Ferdinandea-Prag zu Heidelberg and the KDStV Cheruscia Würzburg in the CV .

Ulrich Becker and Eckhard Kreßel were among his students .
