The Swift River is an approximately 150 km long tributary of Teslin Lake in the Yukon Territory and British Columbia in Canada .

The Swift River rises at an altitude of about 1,350  m in the north of the Cassiar Mountains in the Yukon Territory 22 km northwest of the Pine Lake airfield . The Rudy Lakes are located on the upper reaches . The Swift River initially flows southeast to Pine Lake. Then he turns south and south-west. The Alaska Highway ( Watson Lake - Teslin ) follows the course of the river from Pine Lake. The Swift River crosses the provincial border into British Columbia. The McNaughton Creek empties left side into the river. This now flows mainly in a westerly direction. It flows through Swan Lake and takes on the Smart River from the right. The Alaska Highway leaves the river valley in a northwest direction. The Swift River turns south. Swift Lake is on the lower reaches . Shortly thereafter, the Swift River turns west. It cuts through the Nisutlin Plateau for the last 25 km and reaches the east bank of Teslin Lake. June is usually the month with the highest outflows of the year.
