Swiss Vapeur Parc
The Swiss Vapeur Parc is an exhibition of model trains in Le Bouveret in the canton of Valais in Switzerland . It includes a display system with a miniature railway on a 1: 4 scale and a cogwheel route as well as replicas of Swiss sights in miniature. The village of Le Bouveret is located on Lake Geneva , on the Rhone Delta there . The proper name stands for exhibition of the Swiss live steam friends , d. H. for lovers of models that are powered by working steam engines.
An annual festival international de la vapeur always attracts steam locomotive fans from all over Europe in a week in June.
In addition to the steam locomotives, there are also models of steamships floating on a lake on the site next to the local harbor .
history
The Club Vapeur Aigle was founded on October 30, 1979 (22 members). From this the present “Club des amis du Swiss Vapeur Parc” developed (2005 approx. 40 members). In 1989, the first expansion stage of the Swiss Vapeur Parc covered an area of 10,000 m² with a length of the track in 5 and 7¼ inches of approx. 1000 m. The number of visitors rose from 60,000 at that time to 160,000 in 2000. In 2006, the facility was 1,500 m long, with a further 500 m being laid for staging and depot tracks.

The multiple units are exact replicas of the vehicles of the railway companies Aigle-Leysin (AL), Bex-Villars-Bretaye-Bahn (BVB), Montreux-Berner Oberland-Bahn (MOB), ( French : Chemin de fer Montreux-Oberland bernois), the MOB train has closed seating cars.
In addition to these vehicles used in the service of the SVP, there are also many private locomotives and models of the club members in the Remisen in Le Bouveret. z. B .:

"Real Estate", miniature buildings
In the miniature park about 20 historically significant buildings are faithfully copied for example the "Café de la Treille", the castle of Aigle , the Church of Saanen , the Kuklos, Plein Roc (Rochers de Naye) , the sawmill of Nax .
