Sybille Gruner (born May 18, 1969 in Erfurt ) is a former German handball player .

Sybille Gruner played 135 international matches for the national handball team . Her greatest success was winning the 1993 World Cup . The backcourt player played for Bayer Leverkusen for twelve years until she ended her career in 2002. After that she stayed with the club until 2006 as an assistant coach . She has been running the DHB base in Leverkusen since 2008. Since 2013 she has also been the head coach of the youth department at Bayer Leverkusen. On April 25, 2018 it was announced that Sybille Gruner will switch to TuS Königsdorf as a trainer for the girls' area.

Sybille Gruner is a controller by profession . She is married and has two children (Dana and Mara).
