Sylvia Fiedler

Sylvia Fiedler (born October 1, 1951 in Dresden ) is a former German diver . She started her active career for the German Democratic Republic and SC Einheit Dresden . She took part in the Summer Olympics twice for the GDR .

Career

The National Olympic Committee of the GDR Sylvia Fiedler at the age of 17 years was 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City nominated and launched together with her teammate Claudia Reiche when diving . There she failed like rich by a 19th place in the qualification. At the European Swimming Championships in Barcelona in 1970 , she secured the bronze medal behind Milena Duchková and her compatriot Marina Janicke .

Sylvia Fiedler was nominated by the National Olympic Committee of the GDR for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich and started diving again. While Marina Janicke won the bronze medal, she took sixth place in the final.
