The synagogue in Chablis , a French commune in the Yonne department of the Burgundy region , was originally built in the Middle Ages and changed in the Renaissance style in the 16th century . The secular synagogue with the address No. 10 to 14 rue des Juifs (German Judengasse ) has been a protected architectural monument ( Monument historique ) since 1993 .

The building, which was left to decay for a long time, was extensively renovated by a family of winemakers from 2006 to 2008 . Today there is a permanent exhibition in the former synagogue with the title Les Hommes de la Torah (Eng. The people of the Torah).

A ritual bath ( mikveh ) can also be visited.
