Former synagogue in Kleinheubach

The synagogue in Kleinheubach , a market in the Lower Franconian district of Miltenberg ( Bavaria ), was built in 1808. The secular synagogue at Gartenstrasse 9 (formerly Judengasse) is a protected monument .

history

The first synagogue is said to have been built in 1728. The new synagogue was probably built on the same site in 1808. A major renovation was carried out in the 1890s.

During the November pogrom in 1938 , the synagogue's interior furnishings, including the rituals, were destroyed. The building came into private ownership and was used as a storage room for a long time. A notice board recalls the history of the building.
