The synagogue in Volyně (German Wolin ), a Czech town in Okres Strakonice in the South Bohemian Region , was built between 1838 and 1840. The derelict synagogue has been a protected cultural monument since 1988 .

The classical synagogue in the area of ​​the former ghetto was renovated in 1890 and served the Jewish community as a place of worship until the German occupation . After the Second World War , the building was used as a cinema and a nightclub .

The classical Torah shrine for storing the Torah scrolls in the synagogue is kept in the city museum.
