On the night of November 9, 1938, the Jewish men were picked up from their homes and, accompanied by the paramilitary SA , were brought to the synagogue. There they had to listen to a hate speech by an SA leader. Then the building was set on fire by SA men. While it was burning, the Jews were forced to do squats and other sports. The fire ruin was canceled shortly afterwards. The property was built on in 1961 with a free-church evangelical church. A plaque from 1958 commemorates the second Laupheim synagogue.
