The Tønsberg Point is the eastern foothills of the Pintail Peninsula on the north coast of South Georgia . It protrudes into Stromness Bay and separates Stromness Harbor from Husvik Harbor .
The name of the headland has been known since at least 1912 and is derived from the Norwegian whaling company Tønsberg Hvalfangeri , which operated the whaling station in Husvik Harbor from 1910.
