T-Zon (* 4. August 1993 in Swakopmund ), civic Christoph Albrecht Paul theses , is a Namibian Rap - and Pop - musicians German descent ( Deutschnamibier ) and operator of the YouTube In channel TZON4life.

Life

Christoph Thesen was born in Swakopmund on the Namibian south Atlantic coast. At the age of thirteen he was first made aware of rap music and began writing his own lyrics. When choosing his stage name, he decided on T-Zon, the phonetic spelling of his surname in English. From the age of fourteen he attended a German boarding school in the Namibian capital Windhoek . During school he recorded a few mixtapes and albums which he distributed among his classmates. Of his first three albums, The Problem , Rap is Power and From the Bottom - The Best of T-Zon , T-Zon sold 300 copies in 2007-2009 . After playing first concerts, his popularity in the Namibian music scene grew. With an appearance at the Namibian Music Award, his career reached a temporary high point. In 2012 Thesen graduated from school. Due to the relatively poor training opportunities in the South African country, he then decided to move to Cologne , Germany. There Thesen began training as an event manager .

In 2012 T-Zon also got to know the musicians Kayef , Liont and Topic , with whom he subsequently worked. Like his musician friends, he used the video portal YouTube to present himself to the public. In addition to music, he also uploaded video blogs, among other things. At the end of 2012, a collaboration album with the Kwaito musician EES was released under the title There we go for free download. The texts of the publication are in English and German. In the following two years, T-Zon released the EPs Einfachmachen and Pretty Best Friends and expanded its reach via social networks and YouTube. On December 19, 2014 his first solo album Doppelleben was released via TZ Records . Kayef, Lil Rain, Big Tasty, Lili, Marvin and Spinning9 are guest musicians on the album produced by Topic. In the run-up to the release, the first music video for the song We Both (acoustic version) was released, which has received over 1.7 million views so far. Furthermore, the pieces Fight You Out of There and Not Without You were implemented visually.

Thesen completed his training in April 2015. He then appeared together with Kayef as the main act at the Videodays in Berlin. In addition, T-Zon accompanied Kayef and Liont's tours as support throughout the year , so that he played 50 concerts and 15 festivals and thus appeared in front of around 50,000 spectators. In July 2015 he received an artist contract with Takeover Music . His second album Alles auf Anfang was released about this on June 10, 2016 . The recordings were again made in collaboration with the producer Topic in the home studio in Solingen. In addition to the split video for the songs Intro and Heartbeat , music videos were released for the songs Dreamed of You , Nothing Said and Role Model . T-Zon described the style of the album as “a cross-genre mix of classic rap with modern pop elements. “ Alles auf Anfang rose to number 11 in the German and number 61 in the Austrian album charts. After appearing on the music channel VIVA Germany , T-Zon was offered the moderation of the program VIVA Top 100 , which he presented for the first time on July 8, 2016. From September the musician completed a twelve-concert soul tour.
