The TTC Rot-Weiss-Silber Bochum e. V. is a dance sport club in Bochum . The club, which was founded on April 26, 1986, is one of the largest sports clubs in Bochum with over 600 members. In addition to popular sports ( standard and Latin ) and offers especially for children and young people, such as disco dance, hip hop and cheerleading , tournament dance standard and Latin and formation dancing .
Standard formation
The standard formation of the TTC Rot-Weiss-Silber Bochum was founded in autumn 2004. She first appeared in the 2005/2006 season with the musical theme "Dance of the Vampires" in the Regionalliga North-West Standard and immediately achieved first place in the league. The team was also able to win the promotion tournament to the 2nd Bundesliga Standard and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga after just one season.
This was followed by an eventful time in the 2nd Bundesliga Standard and Regional League West Standard:
- 2006/2007: 2nd Bundesliga (topic: “Dance of the Vampires”), 7th place, relegation to the regional league
- 2007/2008: Regionalliga (topic: "Sister Act"), 1st place, 2nd place in the promotion tournament, promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga
- 2008/2009: 2nd Bundesliga (topic: "Sister Act"), 7th place, relegation to the regional league
- 2009/2010: Regionalliga (topic: "Time for Classics"), 2nd place, 4th place in the promotion tournament, promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga
- 2010/2011: 2nd Bundesliga (topic: “Born To Be Wild”), 7th place, relegation to the regional league
- 2011/2012: Regionalliga (topic: "Born To Be Wild"), 1st place, 3rd place in the promotion tournament (after the TC Rot-Weiss Casino Mainz withdrew its A-team from the 2nd Bundesliga, the team of the TTC Rot-Weiss-Silber Bochum as third placed in the promotion tournament to the 2nd Bundesliga after)
- 2012/2013: 2nd Bundesliga (topic: "Anastasia"), 5th place
- 2013/2014: 2nd Bundesliga (topic: "Anastasia"), 7th place, relegation to the regional league
- 2014/2015: Regionalliga (topic: "Jekyll & Hyde"), 2nd place, 3rd place in the promotion tournament (after TSC Schwarz-Gold Göttingen withdrew its B-Team from the 1st Bundesliga and the TSG Terpsichore Bad team Homburg TSA Friedberg moved up as third in the 2nd Bundesliga, the standard formation of the TTC Rot-Weiss-Silber Bochum was nominated as the third-placed team in the promotion tournament for the 2nd Bundesliga standard.)

In the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons, the team did not take part in league competitions.

The formation's trainers are Sascha Wakup and Ann-Katrin Bechtold.
Latin formation
A-team
The A-Team of the TTC Rot-Weiss-Silber Bochum danced in the 2013/2014 season to the musical theme "All of me" in the West Latin regional league. The team's trainers are Thys Gerritsen and Nina Johanning.
In the past, the A-Team of the TTC Rot-Weiss-Silber Bochum danced Latin in the 2nd and 1st Bundesliga. In the 1995/1996 season, the second place in the 2nd Bundesliga and thus promotion to the 1st Bundesliga was achieved. After one season in the 1st Bundesliga, he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga and one season later was relegated to the Regional League West Latin.
For the 2015/2016 season, the club formed a formation community with TSZ Velbert , which had previously competed in the 1st Bundesliga Latin in a formation community with TC Seidenstadt Krefeld . The TSZ Velbert withdrew from formation dance after the season. The formations of the club changed to the newly founded 1. TSZ Velbert . The cooperation between the two clubs in formation dance ended in summer 2018.
The A-Team of the TTC Rot-Weiss-Silber Bochum competed in the Regional League West Latin in the 2018/2019 season. In the 2019/2020 season, the team will compete in the newly formed 2nd Bundesliga West Latin.
The team's coaches are Kai Wehmeier and Volker Bösing.
More Latin information
In addition to the A team, the TTC Rot-Weiss-Silber Bochum also has a B and a C team. The B-Team will dance in the 2019/2020 season in the Regional League West Latin, the C-Team in the Regional League West Latin.
The B-Team is trained by Raphel Groß and Agathe Swatek, the C-Team by Stefan Holz, Susanne Thiele and Christopher John.
DiscoDance formations
The TTC Bochum offers DiscoDance in all age categories. Children (up to 11 years), juniors (12–15 years), main group (16–29 years) and young seniors (from 30 years) show their skills in tournaments. The DiscoDance division emerged from a street dance group in 1999 and has been taking part in tournaments since 2001. The tournament area now consists of around 100 dancers, who are spread across the seven DiscoDance formations:
- DC Force (kids formation)
- Dance Attack Juniors (Junior A-Formation)
- New Generation (Junior B formation)
- DQ Dance Squad (1st main group / A formation)
- Dance Attack (2nd main group / B-formation)
- Dance Impact (3rd main group / C-formation)
- Dance Attack Forever (young senior formation)
There are beginner and advanced groups depending on the age category.
