The Boston-Club eV Düsseldorf is a dance sport club in Düsseldorf .
The association has u. a. about offers in individual dancing , formation dancing , jazz and modern dance , hip-hop , popular sports and children's dance.
history
The club was founded in 1912 from a dance group that has met regularly at the Breidenbacher Hof since 1902 . The name of the club goes back to the Boston , a forerunner of the slow waltz .
After the Second World War , the club's dance business was resumed on October 1, 1948.
Standard formation
The standard formation of the association was founded in 2002. In the seasons 2005/2006 and 2006/2007 the team competed in a formation community with TSG Hagen in the 2nd Bundesliga. After relegation from the 2nd Bundesliga, the formation community broke up. The team from the Boston Club Düsseldorf competed in the Regionalliga West Standard next season. For the 2009/2010 season, the team moved up to the 2nd Bundesliga Standard as the third-placed team in the promotion tournament, after the TC Rot-Weiss Casino Mainz withdrew its B-Team from the 2nd Bundesliga, but rose again at the end of the season Regional league. Until the 2014/2015 season, the team danced in the Regionalliga West Standard - from 2011/2012 to 2013/2014 with the musical theme "Pirates of the Carribaen", 2014/2015 with the musical theme "Whitney" - and then got into the 2. Bundesliga on. In the 2015/2016 season, the formation again danced a choreography on the musical theme of "Whitney".
After TCH Oldenburg withdrew its A-team from the 1st Bundesliga Standard in July 2016, the formation of the Boston-Club Düsseldorf moved up to the 1st Bundesliga as the third-placed team last season. At the end of the season, the formation was relegated to the 2. Bundesliga Standard. The musical theme in the 2016/2017 season was "Whitney". In the following season, the team achieved direct promotion back to the 1st Bundesliga with the new musical theme "Beauty & The Beast", but was relegated again to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the 2018/2019 season.
The trainers of the standard formation are Uwe and Melanie Schieren.
Latin formation
Latin formations existed in the club from 2004 to 2006, when an A-team competed in league competitions in the Oberliga West Latin. In the 2004/2005 season there was also a B-team in the regional league West Latin.
For the 2016/2017 season, the club and TSZ Aachen formed a formation community that competed in the 1st Latin Bundesliga. The musical theme was "The Great Gatsby". The formation community relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga after the season, but managed again in the following season with the musical theme "The Great Gatsby", the direct promotion to the 1st Bundesliga.
Chaos formation
In addition to the formations that take part in league tournaments, there is also a popular sports formation in the club, which with its choreographies presents a parody of formation dancing. Both standard and Latin music are used in the choreographies.
The Chaos formation is coached by Igor Pokasanew and Steggi Venjacob.
