The gymnastics and sports community Ober-Eschbach 1898 e. V. is a German association from the Bad Homburg district of Ober-Eschbach .

history

In 1898 the club was initially founded as a pure "Gymnastics Club Ober-Eschbach". In 1926 the handball department was added, in 1958 the club expanded to include the table tennis department, in 1973 the shooting department was added and the kickboxing department followed in 1985 as the youngest department to date. With these five departments, more than 15 types of sports are consistently operated, including current trend sports such as B. Nordic Walking, Pilates, Yoga or Yogalates.

TSG Ober-Eschbach 1898 e. V. has around 1,250 members and is therefore one of the largest associations in Bad Homburg. In the Ober-Eschbach district, TSG is by far the largest club.

Sports

The sporting activities take place in the club's own gym at Ober-Eschbacher-Straße 30, in the Albin-Göhring-Halle on Massenheimer Weg and on the adjacent sports field.

The women's team of the handball club played in the 2nd Handball Bundesliga South until 2008 . Then the team played in the Regionalliga Südwest. In the 2013/14 season , the team played again in the 2nd Bundesliga. Ober-Eschbach has been playing in the 3rd division since 2014 . The sports facility for home games is the Albin-Göhring-Halle.
