The TSV Georgii Allianz Stuttgart eV is a sports club in Stuttgart . The most successful team in the club is the men's volleyball team, which currently plays in the third division .
Club history
The gymnastics and sports club Georgii Allianz eV came into being in 1932 when the Georgii gymnastics association (founded in 1899) and the Allianz sports club (founded in 1925 as a company sports club of Allianz Insurance Stuttgart) were merged. The association is entered in the register of associations of the Stuttgart District Court and has its seat in Heßbrühlstrasse in Stuttgart-Vaihingen.
The heavy athletics / weightlifting department was dissolved in August 2016 after 80 years of existence.
volleyball
In 2018, the volleyball department is the largest in Baden-Württemberg in terms of the number of its own teams in active gaming . It comprises a total of twelve active teams, seven for the men and five for the women. There are also youth teams of both genders in all age groups from U12 to U20.
The first men's team played from the 2013/14 season until relegation in the 2016/17 season in the 2nd Volleyball Bundesliga South , and since then in the 3rd League South . Men's 1 play their home games in the Hegel sports hall in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, the remaining teams mostly in the Allianz sports hall.

From April 2007 to mid-2012, the department in the female youth sport area cooperated with the volleyball department of MTV Stuttgart . For this purpose, a joint association was founded under the name VC Stuttgart .
