The TSV Kücknitz is a sports club from the Lübeck district Kücknitz . The first soccer team played for five years in the highest amateur league in Schleswig-Holstein .

history

The club was founded in 1945 as the successor to the Kücknitz gymnastics club, which was founded in 1911, and a workers' sports club that was banned in 1933 and not known by name . Two years later the TSV was one of the founding members of the Landesliga Ost , but missed the qualification for the single-track Landesliga Schleswig-Holstein. In 1952 the promotion was missed after a 2: 3 defeat in the playoff against TSV Lägerdorf . It was not until 1955 that they returned to the top division of Schleswig-Holstein. There a seventh place was achieved in the promotion season and in the course of the season the Kücknitz team achieved a 3-2 victory at the local flagship VfB Lübeck .

In 1958 the TSV had to relegate and did not return until 1967. Shortly after promotion, the team had to hand over numerous top performers such as Jürgen Stars to VfB and 1. FC Phönix , so that relegation was narrowly missed. In 1972 he was relegated to the district league. Between 1975 and 1978 the team returned to the association league before the TSV became an elevator team between the district league and class. In the 1993/94 season, the Kücknitzer played again the national league.

In 1999 the TSV was one of the founding members of the District Oberliga Süd , from which they were relegated in 2002. In 2007, he was relegated from the district league. The TSV has been playing in the Lübeck district league since 2010 .

The TSV took part in the main round of the DFB Cup 1975/76 . After the Kücknitzer were able to prevail in the first round at VfL Trier with 6: 3 after extra time, they were eliminated in the second round in front of a home crowd against the second division club DJK Gütersloh with 0: 1 from the competition.
