TT-Intercup

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The TT-Intercup is a European team competition in table tennis .

Eligibility to participate

The TT-InterCup offers clubs of all performance levels without pre-qualification competition games on an international level, which due to their national placement have no opportunity to take part in the Table Tennis Champions League or the ETTU Cup - under certain conditions even 2nd teams from clubs that are eligible to start international competitions. Each team consists of three players.

A low entry fee and the restriction to participants from Central Europe in the broadest sense help to keep costs low. The home club bears the costs of the stay, the visiting club the travel costs.

The game dates can be freely agreed within the rounds, it is played in the simple knockout system up to the 4-point final round (Final Four). The losers of the first game also play in the Trofeo Città Di Verona up to the 4-finals.

history

The TT-InterCup was founded in 1990 by an initiative group of international table tennis officials with the support of Casinos Austria AG.

The Austrian Table Tennis Association (ÖTTV) took over the patronage right from the start , and since 1993 it has also been recognized by the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) .
