Tabertshausen is a district of the municipality of Aholming in the Lower Bavarian district of Deggendorf .

location

Tabertshausen is located in the Gäuboden on the edge of the Isar valley about two kilometers west of Aholming.

history

Finds from the Neolithic, Hallstatt, La Tène and Roman Imperial times are known from the location on the former high bank of the Isar . In the High Middle Ages, Tabertshausen was the headquarters of a ministerial family of the Passau bishopric . A Luitgos de Tagebrechtshusen appeared in 1076 at the St. Nikola Monastery in Passau as a witness and ministerial of the same. Werinhart de Tagebrechtshusen around 1120 and Dietmar de Tagebrechtshusen from 1120 to 1165 also appeared as witnesses several times at the same monastery. A church was built as early as the 13th century.

There was then no news whatsoever until Tabertshausen's transition to the Notthrachts. Originally an independent, closed Hofmark , it later came under the rule of Aholming, whose jurisdiction also extended to Tabertshausen.

In the conspect of the formation of the communities of the Lower Danube district in the Royal Bavarian Graeflich Preysingl. Aholming and Moos patrimonial court of June 26, 1818, Tabertshausen was intended as an independent municipality. It should include the towns of Tabertshausen, Schwaigen, Rauchschwaig, Garnschwaig and Moosmühle. Presumably, this basis appeared to be too narrow, because in the ordinance of the government of the Lower Danube District on the final division of the municipality of April 21, 1821, Tabertshausen is only mentioned as part of the municipality of Aholming. With this Tabertshausen came in 1838 from the Deggendorf regional court to the re-established Osterhofen regional court , thus in 1862 to the Vilshofen district office. When the Vilshofen district was dissolved in 1972, Tabertshausen and the Aholming community became part of the Deggendorf district .

In 1902 it was possible to open its own school house, which was closed again in 1967 as part of the school reform in Bavaria. The old cemetery from the time of the plague was rebuilt in 1920 and expanded to include a community cemetery in 2001. In 1987 Tabertshausen had 280 inhabitants.
