The high school graduate Jules Martin rebels against his authoritarian father Paul. The loving mom Gabrielle protects her son, who also becomes unruly at school. He organized a demonstration, which earned him admiration from his mother and anger from his father.
Paul Martin cheats on his wife with the masseuse Simone, who soon seduces his son too. When she learns of her husband's affair, Gabrielle gets involved with her son's physical education teacher. She visibly blossoms and encourages Jules, who also has support from his theater teacher Alain Denizet.
