Tachbach is a district of the city of Themar in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .
location
The state road 2628 connects to the district road 113, which leads to the Tachbach, which is located in a narrow valley. The near-natural location brings economic difficulties, but nature lovers reward this by coming. The foothills and the access to the Werra lowlands and the river are natural benefits for humans and animals. In addition, Themar is at the door.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1177. The bond with Themar has grown over time. In terms of lordship, the place in the Themar office initially belonged to the county of Henneberg , after 1583 to various Saxon duchies and from 1826 to 1918 to Saxony-Meiningen . In 1920 he came to the state of Thuringia .
Buildings
To the south of Tachbach there was a castle on the castle hill as a mansion. The strategically favorable dome was surrounded by a ring of wall and moat. Seven pits on the plateau suggest that buildings have been demolished. There are no structural remains except for the ring wall.
