Tadanari Lee ( Japanese 李 忠 成 , Ri Tadanari ; born December 19, 1985 in Tanashi ) is a Japanese football player on the position of the striker .
Lee was born the third generation of Koreans living in Japan . His Korean name is Lee Chung-Sung , he also used his passport name Tadanari Ōyama ( Japanese 大 山 忠 成 , Ōyama Tadanari ). Lee's father was also a footballer.
Career

Lee began his professional career in 2004 at Tokyo FC and moved to Kashiwa Reysol in 2005 , where he played until 2009. With Kashiwa, after relegation in 2005, he was promoted to the J. League again in 2006 and made it to the final of the Kaiser Cup in 2008 . In 2009 he moved to Sanfrecce Hiroshima during the season , where he played until 2012. On January 25, 2012 Lee moved to Southampton FC in the English second division ; at the end of the season he was promoted to the Premier League with the team . However, it was no longer used there. At the beginning of 2013 he was loaned to FC Tokyo for half a year. After his return he was still not considered in Southampton. Urawa Red Diamonds signed him in early 2014 . There he was a regular player in the storm and also appeared again as a goal scorer. For Urawa he had played 133 games by the end of 2018. In 2019 he moved to league competitor Yokohama F. Marinos in Yokohama . After only one year, he signed a contract with the second division side Kyōto Sanga in Kyōto in 2020 .
National team
Lee first played in youth selections for the South Korean national soccer team before he decided to play for Japan. For the Japanese U23 he took part in the soccer tournament of the Olympic Games in 2008 , but failed in the preliminary round. His debut for the senior team gave Lee 9 January 2011 against Jordan . In the final of the 2011 Asian Cup against Australia , he scored the decisive 1-0 and thus helped Japan to its fourth title .
