Tadeusz Tomaszewski (born February 21, 1959 in Niechanowo ) is a Polish politician and has been a member of the Sejm in the I, II, III, IV, V, VI and VII electoral periods since 1993 .

From 1972 he was a functionary of the Association of Popular Sports Groups, from 1974 to 1994 he was a member of the Polish Socialist Youth Association and also worked in the Polska Zjednoczona Partia Robotnicza (Polish United Workers' Party - PZPR). From 1984 to 1988 and from 1989 to 1990 he was a city councilor in Niechanowo , and from 1989 to 1990 he was a member of the National Voivodship Council in Poznan. At the beginning of the 1990s he was on the board of several private companies. From 1990 to 1999 he was a member of the Socjaldemokracja Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej (Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland - SdRP), in 1999 he became a member of the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej (Federation of the Democratic Left - SLD). From 1998 to 2000 he was a member of the Sejmik of the Greater Poland Voivodeship . In 2000 he graduated from the Poznan School of Social Sciences .

In 1993, 1997, 2001, 2005 , 2007 and 2011 , he won a seat in the Sejm for the SLD. In the 2007 parliamentary elections , he was re-elected to the Sejm for the Konin constituency with 23,755 votes on the list of Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD). He is a member of the Sejm Commissions for Social Policy and Family as well as Sport.

Since April 22, 2008 he has been a member of the newly established Lewica parliamentary group .
