Taglung Thangpa Trashi Pel

Taglung Thangpa Trashi Pel ( Tib . : stag lung thang pa bkra shis dpal ; * 1142 ; † 1210 ) was the founder of the Taglung monastery ( stag lung dgon chen or stag lung thang ) in Lhünzhub (1180) and thus the founder of the Taglung- Kagyu School from the Kagyu school tradition of Tibetan Buddhism , one of their so-called "eight small schools". He was a student of Phagmo Drupa Dorje Gyelpo (1110-1170), one of the most important students of Gampopas (1079-1153).
