Tak Khunn Wang (born October 13, 1991 in Paris ) is a French tennis player .

Career

Wang started playing tennis when he was six. On the ITF Junior Tour he took part in the French Open in 2008 and 2009 , but dropped out in the first and second round. On the junior tour he has an individual balance of 12:10 and in doubles of 7: 8.

In 2009 he played the first tournament with the professionals, initially exclusively on the third-class ITF Future Tour . He won his first title at a future tournament in France in 2012. A year later, he won five future titles in singles and made it into the top 300 in the world rankings for the first time . In February 2014 Wang succeeded in jumping into a main draw in a Challenger tournament for the first time in Quimper , after he succeeded as a lucky loser despite losing the last qualifying round . With the 265th place he also achieved his best place in the world rankings at this time. For the qualification of the French Open 2014 he received a wildcard from the tournament officials , but lost his opening match there. He finished the year 561st in singles and 704th in doubles.

In 2015, Wang only played tournaments on the Future Tour and won one single and four double titles. As a result, he improved a good 150 places in doubles. The following year he won his first title on the Challenger Tour. In Qingdao he reached the final with Danilo Petrović and defeated the second seeded pairing Gong Maoxin and Zhang Ze in three sets . Through this success he achieved his best placement in the double ranking with 312nd place. Since then, the Frenchman rarely qualifies for Challengers and is no longer in the top 500.

In 2014, Wang played for 1. FC Nürnberg in the 2. Tennis Bundesliga and was promoted to the Tennis Bundesliga there .
