Takuya Aoki ( Japanese 青木 拓 矢 , Aoki Takuya ; born September 16, 1989 in Takasaki , Gunma Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .
Career
Takuya Aoki learned to play soccer on school teams at Takasaki Notsuke Elementary , Takasaki Kataoka Jr. High School and Maebashi Ikuei High School . He signed his first contract with Ōmiya Ardija in 2008 . The club from Ōmiya-ku played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . For the club, he completed 127 top division games and scored eleven goals. In 2014 he moved to league rivals Urawa Red Diamonds . The club is also based in the metropolis of Saitama . In 2014 and 2016 he was runner-up with the club. He won the J. League Cup in 2016. In 2017 he won the AFC Champions League with the Urawa Reds , in 2019 they lost the final and came second. He won the Kaiser Cup in 2018.
