The Talbach flows under the initial name Latschgraben from a forest moor north of Wildsteig . From a tributary near the hamlet of Kreit it is called Talbach and flows north to the Ölberger Weiher , which it passes through. Then he enters the Ammer canyon system at the hamlet of Waldhütte . In the lower area and up to the confluence with the Ammer, the course of the stream is part of the Ammertal nature reserve in the area of the Ammerleite and Talbach slopes .
