The Talbach flows under the initial name Latschgraben from a forest moor north of Wildsteig . From a tributary near the hamlet of Kreit it is called Talbach and flows north to the Ölberger Weiher , which it passes through. Then he enters the Ammer canyon system at the hamlet of Waldhütte . In the lower area and up to the confluence with the Ammer, the course of the stream is part of the Ammertal nature reserve in the area of ​​the Ammerleite and Talbach slopes .
