Taljanky ( Ukrainian and Russian Тальянки ; Polish Talianka / Talianki / Talanki ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Cherkassy Oblast with about 1700 inhabitants (2001).

Taljanky is the only village in the district council of the same name in the southwest of Talne Rajon .

The village is located at an altitude of 201  m, 17 km southwest of the Talne district center and 155 km southwest of the Cherkassy oblast center . The city of Uman is located 30 km west of Talyanky. The N 16 road runs in the south of the village .

history

The village, founded at the end of the 17th century, was first mentioned in writing in 1763. From July 31, 1941 to March 9, 1944, the village was occupied by the Wehrmacht .

Historical and cultural reserve "Trypillja culture"

A more than 5000 year old and 450 hectare settlement of the Cucuteni-Tripolje culture was discovered near the village , in whose 1500 to 2800 buildings 6000 to 25,000 people lived, making it one of the largest known settlements in the 4th millennium BC. In Europe and possibly worldwide. Since 2003 this settlement has been part of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve "Trypillja Culture" ( Державний історико-культурний заповідник «Трипільська культура» ).
