The Hubenov Dam ( Vodní nádrž Hubenov in Czech ) is a drinking water dam in the Czech Republic .

geography

The dam is located eight kilometers west of the city center of Jihlava and dams the Maršovský potok ( marsh brook ) before it flows into the Jihlava . It is located at the southern foot of the U svatého Antonína ( Antoniberg , 629 m) above the hell valley of the Jihlava. Around the dam are the places Ježená , Vyskytná nad Jihlavou , Rounek, Dvorce and Hubenov .

history

The dam was built in 1971 to supply the city of Jihlava with drinking water. In the flooded, largely uninhabited valley, there was previously a pond and the Odrážkův mlýn ( Patry Mill ) below its dam . In addition to the natural inflow through the Maršovský potok, water from the Jedlovský potok and Jiřínský potok is also fed into the reservoir via pipelines.

The reservoir and its surroundings are not accessible as a drinking water protection zone.
