history

The area to the left of the Igel has belonged to the Seelau Monastery since the Middle Ages . The place probably originated at the beginning of the 13th century. The first written mention of Wiskythna took place in 1226 together with other places in a certificate of ownership Honorius III. for the monastery. In 1303 a judge in Gishowel can be proven for the first time, in the resettlement deed of abbot Thilman for Simmersdorf , Chunradus de Gishowels signed as a witness. To distinguish it from the town of the same name in the episcopal Řečice Gau, the village of Gießhiebl was also referred to as Wiskythna thewtunicalis , Wyskydna niemeczka and Niemeczky Wyskytna . The parish church of St. Laurentius belonging to the deanery Řečice can be traced back to 1384. There was a monastic farm in the village, to which four Hufen land belonged. In 1436 King Sigismund handed over the Seelau monastery property, orphaned during the Hussite Wars , to the protection and administration of Nikolaus Trčka von Lípas with the consent of the abbot who had fled to Jihlava, who in return lent the monastery funds for reconstruction. In 1458, George of Podebrady attributed the monastery property to the Trčka of Lípa in the land table after the monastery was unable to pay its debt. The existence of a Catholic pastor in Gießhiebl is documented until 1528 , after which the parish became Protestant. In 1596 the Trčka sold the goods to the Moravian town of Jihlava, which combined the newly acquired property to form the New Manor in Bohemia . The Iglau plague epidemic of 1605/06 also spread to the village, and the Gießhübler pastor was among the victims. In 1623 the imperial judge in Iglau dismissed all evangelical preachers in his district in the course of the re-Catholicization. During the Thirty Years War Gießhiebl partially deserted , of the 29 properties in 1630 six lay desolate. In the same year Gießhiebl was quartered in a riding company under the captain Jean-Louis Raduit de Souches . In the 17th century the German name Deutsch Gießhiebl became common. In 1675 a great fire destroyed parts of the village, it destroyed u. a. the church, the school, the rectory and the court. The town remained in the possession of the city of Iglau until 1848. The village belonged to the Iglauer Sprachinsel and was mostly inhabited by Germans.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed German Gießhübel / Německá Vyskytná 1850 with the districts Preitenhof , Lukau, Old Raunek and New Raunek a municipality in the district of Polna and from 1878 in the district Deutschbrod . In 1921 Lukau / Hlávkov became independent. During the German occupation , the Luftwaffe built a field airfield on the hill north of the village. After the Second World War, the German population was expelled . In 1949 Plandry broke away . In the same year the community was assigned to the Okres Jihlava-okolí. In 1950 it was named Vyskytná nad Jihlavou , and since 1961 it has belonged to Okres Jihlava . In 1992 Hlávkov and Jiřín were incorporated.
