history

The first documentary mention of Albo Lapido , located between Iglau and Gumpolds on the old Gumpoldser Steig, dates back to 1359. The place belonging to the Želiv monastery was one of the most important silver mining areas near Iglau . Over a length of 225 m there were 27 silver mines on the ore, which were mined from a depth of no more than five meters. For the last time, in the Jihlava town books from 1503 and 1505 there are reports about a harvest . After the deposit was exhausted , the miners left the place and the forest took him back. In the land of Trčka von Lípa from 1554, Weissensteyn was named as desolate. In 1596 the city of Iglau acquired the corridors of Weißenstein.

In 1712 the city had two large ponds and a courtyard with a granary built about 400 m south of the original location. In 1778 the Weißenstein farm was closed and the property was distributed to the subjects.

Until the 20th century, Bílý Kámen belonged to Hlávkov, which is now part of Vyskytná nad Jihlavou . Today the company Českomoravský štěrk, as operates a large granite quarry northeast of the village .
