Tamakautoga is one of the fourteen villages on the island of Niue , which has been linked to New Zealand by an association agreement since 1974 . At the September 2017 census, Tamakautoga had 160 residents.

Tamakautoga is located south of the island's capital Alofi . It borders Avatele to the south and Hakupu to the east . All four congregations come together at one point.
history
In Tamakautoga there is a memorial that commemorates the men from Tamakautoga who fought for the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in World War I.
