Lakepa is one of the fourteen villages on the island of Niue , which has been linked to New Zealand by an association agreement since 1974 . In the September 2017 census, Lakepa had 87 inhabitants.
history
There is a memorial in the village that commemorates the men who fought for the New Zealand Expeditionary Force (NZEF) in World War I.
