Tammo Luther

Tammo Luther (* 1972 ) is a German historian and author.

After graduating from high school , Luther did military service in the armed forces . From 1996 he studied Medieval and Modern History at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . In 2002 he was at Jürgen Elvert , previously a professor at the University of Cologne received, at the Faculty of the University of Kiel on Volkstumspolitik of the German Empire from 1933 to 1938 to the Dr. phil. PhD. Two years later, the work was included in the historical series of the Ranke Society .

This was followed by activities as a lecturer and product manager at Archiv Verlag in Braunschweig. After that he worked as a freelance author and editor in Schwerin . Since 2010/11 he has been the editor in charge of the popular science magazine Clausewitz . His focus is on the former Prussian eastern provinces and flight and expulsion (1944–1947).

Luther is a member of the CDU Saxony-Anhalt and active in the East and Central German Association and as an assessor member of the board of the Association for German Cultural Relations Abroad .
