The Tanquid GmbH & Co. KG (own notation: TanQuid ) is a pan-European industrial group, the oil and chemical products in tank farms stores. The company headquarters is in Duisburg .

Tanquid is the largest independent tank farm operator in Germany with warehouses at around 20 locations. The group specializes in the strategic fuel storage of EU member states , storage of mineral oil products and chemical products for third parties and other related services.

The tank farms located in Germany and Poland have a tank space of around 3.6 million cubic meters . Furthermore, Tanquid has eight pipeline connections and its own track systems of around 10 kilometers in length.

Structures

Tanquid GmbH & Co. KG, Duisburg is registered in Germany at the Duisburg District Court . The parent company of Tanquid is the shareholder Macquarie Storage Holdings Limited, Bermuda. The ultimate parent company is LODH Macquarie International Infrastructure Fund LP, Channel Islands. The consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS rules contain the results of the only subsidiary, Tanklagergesellschaft Speyer mbH, Speyer.

Tanquid holds 50% of the share capital in two companies, "Flughafen Hannover Pipeline GmbH & Co. KG, Hamburg" and "Flughafen Hannover Pipeline Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, Hamburg".

"TanQuid Betriebsführungsgesellschaft mbH, Duisburg" has a 49% stake in " Fernleitungs-Betriebsgesellschaft mbH, Bonn" which, as an operating company for NATO and the Bundeswehr, runs the Central Europe Pipeline System (CEPS) as the largest of the ten pipeline and storage systems of NATO operates.

In 1951, VTG Vereinigte Tanklager und Transportmittel GmbH was founded in Hamburg . In 1961 the VTG shares were acquired by Preussag AG , Berlin / Hanover . In 1998 the logistics activities of Lehnkering and VTG Vereinigte Tanklager und Transportmittel GmbH, Hamburg, were merged to form VTG-Lehnkering AG. In 2005 the tank storage business area was spun off into the independent company Tanquid with the Macquarie International Infrastructure Fund Ltd. or from 2008 LMIF, LODH Macquarie Infrastructure Fund Ltd. as the new owner. In 2006 the German Petroplus tank storage locations were acquired and integrated, in 2007 the IVG tank storage locations were acquired and integrated. In June 2011 there was a restructuring of the management.
