Tanda is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh .
The city is part of the Ambedkar Nagar District . Tanda has the status of Nagar Palika Parishad . Tanda is about 190 km from Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow . The city is divided into 25 wards (constituencies).

The city's population is 95,516 according to the 2011 census. Tanda has a gender ratio of 932 women per 1000 men and thus a male surplus typical for India.
