Tangoake is a small, farmed settlement in the Far North District of Northland on the North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is located around 3 km north of Te Kao and around 35 km southeast of Cape Reinga on the Te Kao Stream , which flows into Te Kao Bay of Parengarenga Harbor around 1 km north of the settlement . The New Zealand State Highway 1 runs through Tangoake and connects the settlement with Kaitaia , some 62 km south .
