Tann is a district of the political municipality Dürnten in the canton of Zurich . It formed an autonomous civil parish until the end of 2009 .
The village is located in the southeast of the municipality and borders directly on the municipality of Rüti , with which the village has practically grown together. The river Jona forms the border between Tann and Rüti.

There are four school complexes in the village of Tann. A lower school house (Bogenacker), two middle school houses (Tannenbühl and Blatt) and another school complex for the upper school (Nauen).
Churches
In Tann, the Church of the Holy Trinity stands for the Roman Catholic parish of Rüti , Dürnten and Bubikon -Dorf. A little to the east of this is the Church of the Methodist Church in Rüti-Wald-Hombrechtikon. The church for the believers of the Evangelical Reformed parish is in Dürnten.
