Taratata

Taratata is a French music show where artists and bands perform live. The TV show has been called Taratata 100% live since 2015 . In total, the format comes to over 500 programs.

history

The show has been hosted by Nagui Fam, or Nagui for short, since it started on January 10, 1993 and was first broadcast on the French broadcaster France 2 . Taratata was discontinued in 2000, but has been broadcast on France 4 since April 2005, as well as once a week at prime time on France 3 and once a month on France 3 and Virgin Radio .

Many musicians like Devendra Banhart , Katie Melua or Ayọ made their debut here on French television. The special thing here is that the bands often appear in unusual constellations and also play cover versions of various titles.

At the beginning of 2013, the show celebrated its 20th anniversary. On May 31st of that year, France 2 announced the cancellation of Taratata . The last episode aired in two parts on July 6th and 13th, 2013.

A few days after the announcement of the cancellation, resistance formed among fans and artists. There was a line - Petition started. At the beginning of September 2015, the new President of France Télévisions , Delphine Ernotte, announced the continuation of Taratata shortly after taking office. The reason for this was the numerous letters from viewers who asked for the show to return. On October 24, 2015, the show returned to France 2's program under the name Taratata 100% live . Taratata achieved an audience rating of 4.3 million viewers.

Charisma

Taratata can be seen on European television on TV5 Monde . The show will also be broadcast in the same format in the Arab world on Dubai Television and in Canada on TV5 Canada.

A German version of the show was shown on Sat.1 in 2004 and 2005. First there were two broadcasts on December 11th and 18th, 2004 at 11:15 pm with host Kristian Thees . In autumn 2005, Hugo Egon Balder , who was previously the producer of the show, took over the moderation at the station's request.
