Tassili Bond

Tassili Y. Bond (* around 1975; † around November 10 , 2016 ) was an American jazz musician ( double bass ).

Live and act

Bond attended the School of Music, Theater & Dance at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in the early 1990s . From the mid-1990s he was active in the New York jazz scene and worked a. a. with Antonio Hart ( It's All Good , 1994), Bob Belden's Blue Note Detroit Legacy , in the Innerzone Orchestra (with Craig Taborn, among others ) and Ali Muhammed Jackson , with whom he also toured France in 1997 ( Groove at Jazz Entete ). From the early 2000s he was a member of Russell Malone's band ( Playground ), with whom he a. a. In 2005 he performed at the New York jazz club Jazz Standard . In the field of jazz he was involved in five recording sessions between 1995 and 2005. Bond, who died in November 2016, was buried in Westlawn Cemetery in Wayne, Michigan .
