Tassilo Lenk

Tassilo Lenk (born June 16, 1948 in Limbach-Oberfrohna ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1996 to 2015 he was District Administrator of the Vogtlandkreis in the Free State of Saxony .

Life and politics

Lenk completed his school education up to the Abitur in Auerbach . Between 1967 and 1972 he studied veterinary medicine at the Humboldt University in Berlin . After that he practiced as a veterinarian . From 1990 he was the official veterinarian of the district of Oelsnitz . From 1992 to 1993 he was deputy district administrator of the district of Oelsnitz (see Obervogtland ).

After Bernd Abele left office, he initially acted as provisional district administrator from February 2 to March 1, 1993, and from March 2 as district administrator elected by the district council. On June 26, 1994 he was elected in a runoff election to the district administrator of the Elstertal district , which was to be formed as part of the Saxon district reform in 1994 . Due to a constitutional complaint from the district council of the Reichenbach district at the Saxon Constitutional Court , this district was never formed, so the election was void. Lenk initially retained his office as district administrator for the district of Oelsnitz until December 31, 1995. Finally, on January 1, 1996, the Vogtlandkreis was formed, and he was elected as its first district administrator on December 3, 1995. In 2002 and 2008 he was confirmed in his office.

In March 2012 it became known that the Chemnitz public prosecutor was investigating Lenk on suspicion of breach of trust in connection with a payment of 200,000 euros to the children's recreation center Waldpark Grünheide. The case was dropped a short time later because of proven innocence.

Lenk is married and has two grown daughters. He lives in Adorf .
