The Taubenkogel is a 2301 m high panoramic mountain in the Dachstein Mountains in Upper Austria, northeast of the Hallstatt Glacier . It can be reached from the terminus of the Dachstein cable car at the Gjaidalm or from the Simonyhütte .
When the weather is nice, the summit offers a good view of the Hohe Dachstein , the Gjaidstein and the Hallstatt Glacier.
