Baptismal font (Noordpeene)
The baptismal font in the Catholic Church of St-Denis in Noordpeene , a French parish in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region , was probably created in the 13th century. In 1933, the Gothic- style baptismal font was added to the list of listed buildings ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique
The marble baptismal font, about one meter high, stands on a wide column, which is framed by four narrower columns with bases and capitals . On the square edge of the pool there are reliefs depicting Adam and Eve and mythical animals. On one side, St. Dionysius , the namesake of the church, is shown after his beheading.
