history

The village shares its history with the neighboring village of Hladkiwka, founded in the first half of the 19th century . This was occupied by German troops from September 14, 1941 to November 3, 1943 and was called Келегеї Keleheji until 1946 . In 1992 the western part of Hladkiwka was separated and received the name Tawrijske as an independent village.

From then until December 2016, Tawrijske was the administrative center of the 4.466 km² district council of the same name, to which the village of Welykyj Klyn ( Великий Клин , ) with about 300 inhabitants belonged. The Tawrijske District Council has been part of the Hladkiwka rural municipality since December 2016 . In 2001 the village had 2089 inhabitants.
