Taylor Wily (born June 14, 1969 in Honolulu , Hawaii ), also known as Teila Tuli and Takamikuni , is an American actor and former mixed martial arts fighter and sumo wrestler . He became known for his role as Kamekona Tupuola in the crime series Hawaii Five-0 .

At the age of 17, Wily moved to Japan , where he began wrestling sumo. His teacher was Takamiyama Daigoro . In 1993 he took part in the first fighting event of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), UFC 1: The Beginning , where he lost to Gerard Gordeau in the quarterfinals .

From 2010 to 2020 he played the takeaway owner Kamekona Tupuola in the crime series Hawaii Five-0 , who officially played a leading role from the eighth season of 2018.

Wily is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints .
