Teóphilo Bettencourt Pereira , called Teóphilo , (born April 11, 1900 in Rio de Janeiro , † April 10, 1988 ibid) was a Brazilian national soccer player .

career

Teóphilo started his career at the age of seventeen with Fluminense from Rio de Janeiro . After just one, the player moved to Americano FC from Campos dos Goytacazes . He worked here for six years. He then went back to São Cristóvão FR for six years. At the end of his career, he went to his hometown club Fluminense for a year in 1932.

He was a member of the team at the 1930 World Cup and was used in the game against Yugoslavia on July 14 (1: 2). In 1931 he won the Copa Río Branco with the national team. The following appearances in the national team are proven.
