Te Hapua is a small settlement in the Far North District of Northland on the North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is north of Snipe Bay , one of the arms of Parengarenga Harbor . The place can be reached via Waitiki Landing from the New Zealand State Highway 1 , which is about 7 km southwest . The closest settlement is Paua on the south side of Snipe Bay . The next larger settlement is Te Kao about 30 km south and the nearest town Kaitaia , about 80 km south.
