Waitiki Landing is a small settlement in the Far North District of Northland on the North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is located around 18 km southeast of Cape Reinga and around 19 km northwest of Te Kao on the Aupōuri Peninsula . The Waitiki Stream flows through the village and empties into the Snipe Bay in the Parengarenga Harbor . The New Zealand State Highway 1 runs through the settlement. From it branch off in the settlement side roads to Kapowairua and Te Hapua to the north and east. The nearest larger town is Kaitaia , around 78 km south-southeast.
Infrastructure
New Zealand's northernmost gas station is located in Waitiki Landing , making it the only one on the Aupōuri Peninsula for almost 70 km .
