Team Lufthansa was an umbrella brand founded in 1996 for several regional partner airlines of Lufthansa , which operated regional and feeder flights in the Lufthansa route network under this name.

history

Team Lufthansa was founded in response to the liberalization of European air traffic and the increasing price pressure from providers such as Deutsche BA . From October 1996 Augsburg Airways took over routes mainly from Munich Airport , with further routes successively with Augsburg Airways, Contact Air and Cimber Air . From January 1998, Rheintalflug , later Air Littoral and from March 2000 Cirrus Airlines joined the Lufthansa team. The airlines bore the economic risk of flight operations; Lufthansa received a franchise fee.

In October 2003 Lufthansa announced that it would in future combine the flights of the partner airlines under the Lufthansa Regional brand . Contact Air and Augsburg Airways have been incorporated into the new structure. Since Augsburg Airways ceased operations at the end of October 2013, none of these companies have existed .

Color design

The Lufthansa team aircraft had a corporate design based on the Lufthansa logo with the Lufthansa logo on the fuselage and a logo based on the European flag on the rudder unit .
