Tease and denial

Tease and denial (Engl. For energizing and deny ) even Orgasm Denial or T & D , is a collective term for all those sexual practices that are used to the sexual arousal to increase a person's intense, but without the one experiencing an orgasm to allow . These sexual varieties are usually part of a partnership-based sexual relationship, regardless of gender , sexual inclination and orientation . This technique is commonly used to increase the person's feelings of sexual frustration and arousal, and to bring them to the brink of climax one or more times without letting them reach it. The effect of this multiple arousal and denial of orgasm can lead to a greatly increased sexual arousal in both women and men, so that the orgasm following a T&D scenario is described as significantly stronger than with other practices.

Increasing a person's sexual arousal to such an extent that they are on the verge of orgasm is also known as edging , after the English expression for edge edge . In men who become aroused in a tease-and-denial scenario, the occurrence of pre-ejaculate is often viewed as an edge . The multiple stimulation until shortly before orgasm and its repeated refusal can also lead to persistent sexual frustration. In men, it can cause pain come and a bluish discoloration of the scrotum, which in English as Blue Balls (Engl. For blue eggs is) called. The cause of this discoloration is the increased blood supply to the male sexual organs due to the excitation of the parasympathetic nervous system. While this is happening, the arterial pressure of the blood obstructs the venous outflow ( congestion ). If there is no orgasm, but the stimulation is continued, the pressure increase, which is sometimes painful, and blood and lymph accumulate in the testicles. The oxygen-poor blood, which is prevented from draining, produces the bluish discoloration and is also an indication of a "successful" tease-and-denial scenario in the sadistic sense.

A whole series of T&D sessions sometimes leads to what is known as an incomplete or ruined orgasm , with men often ejaculating (see prostate massage ), but no sexual relaxation is felt. The subsequent sexual frustration and increased sexual excitability can then be exploited for new T&D varieties.

How long the excitement lasts and how often orgasm is refused varies from couple to couple. This technique is often associated with BDSM , especially female dominance , and in this area is often part of orgasm control, chastity or CBT . An essential element is playing with power and powerlessness in order to make the gap between the stimulating, controlling and passive partner physically tangible. T&D is also used in relationships without any reference to sadomasochistic practices to intensely increase pleasure.

T&D must be distinguished from spiritually inspired ejaculation avoidance practices such as Karezza .
