The Teatro Tenda was a multi-purpose hall in Milan , Italy .
history
Originally planned as a theater, the venue was built from 1980 to 1983 and opened in February 1983 as the Teatro Tenda Lampugnano . The building accommodated around 5,300 spectators at concert events and was mainly used as a stage for theater performances and performances by internationally known musicians. The building was replaced by the PalaSharp in 1986 .
Artists Eric Clapton , Joan Armatrading , Sting , Alberto Fortis , Paco de Lucía , Al Di Meola , John McLaughlin , Francesco Guccini , Oscar Peterson , China Crisis , Simple Minds , Joan Jett , Scorpions , Pino Daniele , performed at the Teatro Tenda , Edoardo Bennato , Sade Adu , Lucio Dalla , The Church , Joe Cocker and U2 .
